課程說明

本課程在介紹與鼓勵閱讀英文短篇小說。英文短篇小說不僅因為篇幅短，適合初學者入門英文文學閱讀，並且短篇小說中的英文敘述優美動人，英文用字遣詞高雅但精準，皆有助於英文能力的精進提升。經典英文短篇小說故事情節更是深具寓意，能提供讀者深入的思考。本堂課程前半段以閱讀故事為主，後半段會邀請同學分享已讀故事的心得分享。上課以中英文相佐為主。
Reading literary works has been the best way, not one of them, to greatly increase English proficiency. In literary works, readers not only learn moving stories and charming characters (or vice versa) but also vivid descriptions and advanced words, phrases or expressions. Among them, short stories are the best choice for young learners to quickly comprehend the stories and improve English within limited pages. Moreover, readers also learn life lessons from what literary characters have been through, which is also an invaluable gain along with English improvement. Each class starts with the lecturer telling and explaining the stories to the participants, and ends with participants sharing their feedbacks, thoughts or feelings of the plots that have covered.
