課程說明

※課程包含講授、討論與批改。講授部分以英文進行。討論、批改部分以中文為主,英文為輔。會依照學生需求調整。
※有email寫作練習,最後一堂課提供一對一修改指導服務。其他細節待上課名單確定後,將於課堂上及email另行說明。

※上課依照學校公告方式進行,學校宣布遠距授課,將採用Microsoft Teams,每堂上課前會用email的方式通知學生相關教材)

Learners will be introduced to the framework of emails in English and engage in the writing to enhance their knowledge and sharpen their email writing skills. From the lecturers, structures, templates, samples, and feedback given by the instructor, students will understand better how to make their emails to the point and accurate in a polite and efficient way.

Course Language: This course will include lecturers, discussions, and comments and correction on students’ writings. The instructor will be mainly speaking English and very little Chinese. The subtitles on the slides will be English while there will also be some Chinese characters to make students understand better. For the discussion and correction part, the teacher will mainly speak Chinese and some English. However, the instructor will adjust the proportion of the usage of the language according to the students’ needs.

※Exercise and Homework: There will be in-class exercises and a one-on-one writing consultation with students. The instructor will announce details and email students clear instructions after the class starts.

※ Please bring your own laptop or tablet, etc. to this class. The instructor will lend a laptop and a tablet to you if you don’t have one.

※The instructor will conduct this course online via Microsoft Teams and email students class materials each time before each class if the class is conducted online.
