課程說明

課程建議：考慮參加這門課的同學，最好已習得字首字根字尾，word family或被動語態等等英文能力。
本課教學主旨在於培養學生的學術英文領域的字彙，造句與文章能力；同時提升學生整體學術英文能力。課程內容將使用香港教育局提供的資源，配合其課程設計，以一週學習一章節為規劃，並配合教材內容，進行上課的解說與練習。

Advice: Students interested in joining this class should know or have learned
English skills such as prefix, suffix, word family, passive voice, to name just the few. 
The course aims to build up learners’ English proficiency and strength in academic English so as to enhance their academic performances at schools or in higher education. The class makes use of the English education platform provided by the Hong Kong Education Bureau (link below) and designs the class chapter by chapter based on the website resources. The instructions thus focus on the key features in the use of academic English such as academic vocabulary, sentence or paragraph structure. To learn these features and skills may not only help students ace their academic studies and facilitate subject learning but also enrich their academic vocabulary, sentence and paragraph writing and advance the comprehension in this regard. Practices and drills of the taught features and skills are class-based scheduled by giving exercises and assignments. The course will be conducted mainly in Chines yet interwoven with English for texts and ideas explanation.
