英文領域109學年度起《分級身分》說明：(排除外語系及英教系同學)

• 依入學管道採計之英文成績設定不同《分級身分》
  • 繁星或個人申請入學 -> 依學測英文成績分級
  • 考試分發入學 -> 依指考英文成績分級
• 入學管道無學測或指考英文科成績 -> 參見下方《英語能力檢測CEFR對照表》

1. • 註：無入學英文成績者，系統將預設為前標生。
     • 《特殊選才》入學之學生可另檢附資料，於新生選課前向本中心申請《分級身分》異動。
       檢附之資料如英文檢定成績(請參酌CEFR對照表)，或持其它足以證明英文相當程度之有效資料(如國外全英文授課之高中或國際學校學生全期成績單正本)。
     • 其餘管道入學新生得經所屬學系(班)同意，另填寫申請表於加退選第一週結束前向本中心申請異動《分級身分》，僅限一次。
     • 轉學生 -> 預設為前標生，得向本中心提供大學入學考試成績證明申請調整等級（頂標以上調高等級，均標以下調降等級) 。

English Proficiency Level from academic year 2020/2021 (Excluding FLL and KENI students)

• "English proficiency level (placement)" is set according to different enrollment accesses:
  • Admission via Star Plan Entrance System or individual application → Based on the English score of General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT)
  • Admission via examination and placement → Based on the English score of Advanced Subjects Test (AST)
• Enroll without English score of either GSAT or AST → please refer to Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for English

1. • Student without English score of college entrance exams (either GSAT or AST) will be set as "Above Average Student (G)" by default.
     • Students enrolled via special admissions initiatives could provide relevant documents to apply for level change before "course selection period for new students" (see rules for level change: http://language.site.nthu.edu.tw/p/412-1212-17092.php?Lang=zh-tw).
     • Students enrolled via other accesses should first get approval from the belonging department(s). Then, fill out the application form to apply for level change by the end of the first week of Add-or-Drop Course Selection period. Each student can only apply it ONCE.
     • Transfer students are set as "Above Average Student (G)" by default. Transfer students could provide transcripts of college entrance exam to Center for Language Education and apply for further proficiency level adjustment (Level enhancement for scores above "Excellent" level; level lowering for scores below "Average" level).
