課程說明
本課程教學目標在於介紹2020美國總統大選及其重要議題，並同時教授相關的英文字彙與用詞。本課程將導讀精選文章，介紹文章主要內容與英文詞彙，並指導學員掌握其中的關鍵議題與英文學習重點，使學員在閱讀文章瞭解此次大選重要面向之餘，亦同時精進英文能力。本堂課將同時鼓勵學員針對所閱讀文章內容，以英文發表個人看法（鼓勵性質，非強制）。課程將同時以英文與中文進行。
The course aims to provide an introductory yet in-depth understanding of the 2020 US Presidential Election. The 2020 US Presidential Election is not only a tight but record-breaking race that has influenced the domestic politics of the US and beyond. At the beginning, the course will introduce important vocabulary and concepts of the election to offer participants a foundational idea of the election. In the following weeks the course will look at selected reports and opinions from prestigious publishers such as The Economist, BBC or the Strait Times. and examine main ideas and English vocabulary in them. Course participants will be encouraged to discuss their opinions of covered issues in English. With the schedule illustrated, the course attempts to not only bring participants to understand the US election and its influence on the world, but along the way to enhance their English proficiency.
