課程說明

鑑於英文閱讀能力，為四大英文能力（聽說讀寫）中，英文進步與精進的最基本與關鍵培養的能力，不論是基礎英文能力或進階/學術英文能力皆然，故本門課程將實際閱讀進階英文文章（Level B2-C2），由簡至難分別選自BBC, TOEIC, TOEFL與academic journal，在閱讀過程中落實運用閱讀與字彙技巧，例如main idea, details, prefix and suffix, synonym and antonym等等，不僅藉此達到閱讀速度與效率的進步，即在最短閱讀時間內但完整掌握文章大意重點，也能同時增加英文進階/學術字彙，詞與以及文法能力。本課程為三小時課程，前兩小時將進行文章閱讀與理解，第三小時將進行多種題型練習（選擇，填空，配對等等）。實際選讀文章可能會依實際上課需求而有所修改訂正。
On account of the fact that to advance English learners’ proficiency in reading, listening, writing and speaking, the reading practice is first and foremost the key, the course plans to guide learners to read advanced/academic articles (Level B2-C2) selected from BBC, TOEFL to journal paper, etc., to help students achieve advancing the four skills at one time. In the compressed four weeks, vocabulary and reading skills such as main ideas, details, prefix/suffix and synonym and antonym, etc., will be applied to read and comprehend these advanced/academic writings, which practice, at the end of the course, will not only improve learners’ reading comprehension pace and efficiency, but expand vocabulary and advance grammar. The course is mainly conducted in Chinese, yet supported by English. Article selected are subjected to minor changes.
