課程對象

希望提升托福學術討論寫作或一般英文寫作表達能力的學生
本課程適合英文自己評估程度為:50-80 (超過80分以上及50分以下適合自己自習)
課程皆會提供對學生英文的回饋及矯正,無法接受者先請於課堂前email老師,讓老師因應及調整
This course suits students who rate their English proficiency by themselves between 50 to 80 out of 100. (Students whose self-rated English ability is more than 80 and below 50 are recommended to study English by themselves by this instructor.)
If your self-esteem is fragile and cannot accept any suggestions from the instructor, please email her before the class to help her understand you better and how to adjust the class for you accordingly.

課程說明

本課程針對新制托福學術討論寫作規則、評分規定、技巧,並讓學生實地練習。會先藉由對其主題式題目的討論及同學間的辯論導入其單字、片語及句型讓學生先腦力激燙出一些想法。再藉由對題目的閱讀來構想其更有邏輯性、組織力的作文。課堂中老師會給學生英文寫作的回饋,進而改正學生的中式英文,修正語意不清和文法錯誤,讓學生的托福寫作更為精進。
※課程包含講授、討論與批改。講授部分以英文進行。討論、批改部分則以中文為主,英文為輔。會依照學生需求而調整。
This course introduces the grading criteria and tips of TOEFL Academic Discussion Writing. First, students will brainstorm related vocabulary, phrases, and sentence patterns. Then, students will debate and share their opinions on the assigned question. Finally, students will read and respond to the question by writing a logical, structured short essay. The instructor will provide feedback and correction on students’ writings.

Course Language: This course will include lecturers, discussions, and comments and correction on students’ writings. The instructor will be speaking English and Chinese. The subtitles on the slides will be English while there will also be some Chinese characters to make students understand better. For the discussion and correction part, the teacher will mainly speak Chinese and some English. However, the instructor will adjust the proportion of the usage of the language according to the students’ needs.
