開課時間 週一~週五 Mon.~Fri. 10:10-13:00 中間休20分鐘 (2022/07/25-2022/07/29)，總時數：15小時。

地點 遠距授課採用Microsoft Teams，每堂上課前會用email的方式通知學生相關教材。

課程對象 ※有意報名托福考試，提升托福寫作的學生或是想要加強英語寫作觀念的學生
※課程皆會提供對學生英文的回饋與矯正，無法接受者請先於課堂前email老師，讓老師因應及調整。
本課程適合英文自己評估程度為：50-80 （超過80分以上及50分以下適合自己自習）
※(可供「博士卓越提升試辦方案計畫」同學認證。)
※This course targets at students wanting to take TOEFL writing and desiring to sharpen their English writing skills as well as their English writing proficiency and accuracy in TOEFL writing.
※If your self-esteem is fragile and cannot accept any suggestions from the instructor, please email her before the class to help her understand you better and how to adjust the class for you accordingly.
※This course suits students who rate their English proficiency by themselves between 50 to 80 out of 100. (Students whose self-rated English ability is more than 80 and below 50 are recommended to study English by themselves by this instructor.)

課程說明

本課程幫助學生瞭解托福寫作的規則、評分規定、技巧，並讓學生實地練習。藉由英文寫作的構想、修正、潤飾和課程中的討論、示範，以及老師對於學生英文寫作的回饋，進而改正學生的中式英文，修正語意不清和文法錯誤，讓學生的托福寫作更為精進。

  • 課程包含講授、討論與批改。講授部分同時以英文進行。討論、批改部分則以中文為主，英文為輔。會依照學生需求而調整。
  • 回家托福寫作練習（預計回家練習4次。練習次數依照上課適度調整）。學生於下一次上課日期的前1天將作業上傳雲端，並請於第五次一對一諮詢時,自行選擇一篇托福獨立寫作放在雲端上。其他細節待上課名單確定後，將於課堂上及email另行說明。

This course helps students understand the rubrics of TOEFL writing, guidelines, tactics, and common mistakes Taiwanese students often make. The instructor will introduce the writing framework, concept, and pinpoint students’ mistakes. Students will brainstorm, discuss, revise, and rewrite their writings to be more consciously aware of their own writing output.

※Course Language: This course will include lecturers, discussions, and comments and correction on students’ writings.

The instructor will be mainly speaking English and very little Chinese. The subtitles on the slides will be English while there will also be some Chinese characters to make students understand better. For the discussion and correction part, the teacher will mainly speak Chinese and some English. However, the instructor will adjust the proportion of the usage of the language according to the students’ needs.

※Homework: There are homework 1-4, but students do not have to write every one of them. Students will upload their homework to the Google Drive 1 day before the next class starts. The instructor will announce details and email students clear instructions after the class starts.
